Request for Dual Credit Online Course

Use this form to request an ASU instructor to teach an online course through the ASU Dual Credit program. The course will be delivered via the ASU Blackboard platform.  Courses to be taught in person by a credentialed teacher on your high school campus use a different request form.

Course descriptions can be found in the University Catalog.  Students enrolled in these courses must meet the listed prerequisite or the school must submit a prerequisite override request form, which will be considered on a case by case situation.  Required prerequisites and other recommendations are also listed on the ASU Online Dual Credit Course Guide.

Certain courses are only offered once per academic year, which are listed below.

The school district must provide a proctor for the online course. Students should report to a classroom with an assigned proctor to ensure students are working on their online course. Students should not take this course outside of normal high school class time. The school district will not receive reimbursement for dual credit instruction.

Requests are not guaranteed and will be reviewed by ASU Academic Affairs to determine instructor availability.

Dual Credit Sophomore Literatures
ENGL 2321 and ENGL 2326 are the sophomore literature courses offered online as dual credit.  Due to staffing limitations, some partners will be offered ENGL 2321 in fall, while others will be offered ENGL 2326.  Courses will then be switched for spring.  ENGL 2321 is not a prerequisite for ENGL 2326, so students will still be provided the same 6 credit hours upon completion of both courses.  Course requests will be processed and updated in our system based on seat availability.  Your school will be notified of the order of these courses available if requested.
